I’m thinking about having surgery but my biggest worry is what happens after. I’ve heard some stories where people couldn’t get decent follow-up because their surgeon was in another country. Has anyone here had a procedure done in the UK and found the aftercare was actually better? Or is it possible to get good follow-up if you go abroad?

It’s interesting how much follow-up care matters. My cousin had a minor op and said she talked to her surgeon more after the surgery than before. Guess it really is a big part of the whole thing.
I was super stressed about that too! I had my procedure in Poland at plastic surgery and honestly, I was surprised how much attention I got. They arranged online follow-ups, and all my post-op instructions were really clear, all in English. They even had local recommendations if I needed anything checked when I got home. I do think it’s easier if your surgeon’s nearby, but some clinics like this one make a big effort for UK patients to make the aftercare as smooth as possible. Just make sure to ask exactly how they handle it before you commit.
