If you are using MS DOS 6.22 or higher, Passport XP may help you with compatibility problems with some games and programs. Microsoft has detailed instructions on how to install and use Passport XP for MS DOS 6.22. Read more: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windowsxp/passport-consumer/
If you use an older version of MS DOS, such as MS DOS 6, 6.22, 6.22A, 6.22B or 6.22C, please follow the instructions found on the Passport website to determine your appropriate version. There is a guide found here: http://passport.microsoft.com/en-us/compatibility/msdos/
If you want to use the newest Passport system to play old DOS games, you need to install a *newer* version of MS DOS like 6.22 after downloading MS DOS 7.0. It is not compatible with earlier versions of MS DOS.
Quite frankly, I have never encountered a great need to try to run 32-bit programs in MS-DOS. Most more experienced users are content with running 16-bit programs. There is less potential for problems, and many programs have been ported to run in DOS. If playing a game on MS DOS improved performance, you have been immeasurably promoting MS DOS.
If you can run MS-DOS, then you should be able to run the applications that have run on MS-DOS. It controls a lot of what people write and play now. Once you have DOSbox setup, you should be able to use DOS to run most serious games.
