Possibly from the red flag used in some historic armies to signal the imminence of battle, or from the red cloth used to enrage bulls in Spanish bullfighting, or more generally from the idea of red as a colour of warning and danger. Compare corresponding idioms in several European languages: French voir rouge, German rotsehen, etc.
\"I See Red\" is a song written by Gerry Rafferty's brother, Jim Rafferty. I See Red was first recorded by Anni-Frid Lyngstad of ABBA, under the name \"Frida\" for her first English-language studio album, Something's Going On. Lyngstad's version wasn't released as a single aside from South Africa where it didn't chart, although subsequent cover versions by other artists such as the Irish folk group, Clannad, included in their album, Magical Ring, resulted in a moderate success. Clannad's version was the follow-up single to their breakthrough hit \"Theme from Harry's Game\". Gerry Rafferty himself also recorded a version on his 1992 album, On a Wing and a Prayer.
This song was released as a single in South Africa in December 1982, where 4 months earlier, Frida's hit single \"I Know There's Something Going On\" was released in the same territory.[1] The single was coupled with \"I Got Something\", written by Tomas Ledin. In the sales-based charts, Lyngstad's version did not fare well. However, on the 702 Radio Top 20 charts, \"I See Red\" rose up to #15 in South Africa.[1]
Alongside with \"I Know There's Something Going On\", \"To Turn The Stone\" and \"Here We'll Stay\", \"I See Red\" had a music video directed to promote her album Something's Going On. The promotional video features Lyngstad lip-syncing to a montage between pinball machines, a group of acrobats dancing, and balls in a contemporary-styled stage.[2] Stuart Orme directed the music video for Lyngstad's version.[3]
In 1983 the song was covered by Estonian singer Velly Joonas under the title \"Stopp, seisku aeg\" (\"Stop The Time\"). It was not until it was released in 2015 as a single, gaining a surprise global cult popularity.[citation needed]

With their distinctive russet fur, tufted ears and twitching tail, a red squirrel is a captivating sight. Autumn is a great time to see them as they forage nuts to cache for the long winter months. The introduction of the grey squirrel from North America caused our once common native red squirrel to go on the retreat, disappearing from great swathes of the country. The total UK population is now thought to be as low as 120,000 animals, of which more than three quarters are found in Scotland.
Red Squirrels are most often found in coniferous woods, feasting on hazelnuts by cracking the shell in half. You may also find pine cones that have been nibbled, leaving what looks like an apple core behind. Squirrels make a rough nest, called a 'drey', of twigs, leaves and strips of bark in the fork of a branch, high in the tree canopy. Like most wild animals, red squirrels tend to be shy of people, so keep as quiet as you can. A good first place to look is on bird feeders! Red squirrels are just as keen on peanuts as their grey cousins, and they may come to feeders if they are around.
Developing nations, especially, worry that Brussels is throwing up trade barriers in its pursuit of climate neutrality and sustainable food production. To them, it looks like all the EU can export is rules that will hold back their own economic progress.
Brazil, South Africa, India and China have jointly expressed their \"grave concern regarding the proposal for introducing trade barriers, such as unilateral carbon border adjustment, that are discriminatory.\" The measure is likely to be challenged at the World Trade Organization.
Mohammed Chahim, a Dutch MEP who helped craft the CBAM, said the measure should be offset by the delivery of tens of billions in annual public financing promised for climate projects in the developing world.
\"I think they are absolutely right in their complaints about the EU (and other developed countries) not fulfilling their pledges,\" he said of these emerging economies. But it would be impossible for the EU to end protections for heavy industry at home while granting exemptions to other countries.
Even for the poorest countries, Chahim said, an exemption \"would be the wrong signal, they also have to decarbonize their industry to make it futureproof.\" But under the newly minted regulation, those countries were eligible for support to comply, he added.
In technology, where the 27-country bloc has passed a series of rules to promote its standards on privacy, online competition and social media to the wider world, other countries, too, have chafed at what they see as overly bureaucratic rules that favor well-resourced regulators within the EU. These can be difficult to implement in developing countries with less expertise and money at their disposal.
More far-reaching legislation is still underway. The EU is also preparing a sustainable production law for companies to police their supply chains against forced labor and environmental damage. Brussels wants to hold companies responsible for abuses throughout their supply chains.
The Paris climate agreement is based on the logic of common, but differentiated, responsibilities. At least, that allows countries to move at their own speed and determine their policies toward the same goal.
\"In Brussels, everyone looks at these measures separately,\" said another diplomat from a third country. \"But who looks at it together and thinks about what it means to us CBAM, deforestation, the Farm to Fork strategy. These are all unilateral measures which are making things harder for our exporters.\"
But Brussels is also being pushed by NGOs to lead by example. \"Europe is one of the major contributors to the current crises related to climate, biodiversity, energy and human rights violations around the world. Therefore we consider it the responsibility of the European Union and other countries in the Global North to urgently start tackling these crises through lawmaking,\" said Jill McArdle from the NGO Friends of the Earth.
Agreeing on new rules on the multilateral front remains the EU's first best option. But, in the absence of a well-functioning World Trade Organization, Brussels has little choice but to go at it alone, EU officials and diplomats argue. \"If we want to achieve the Paris targets, there is no time to wait,\" one EU official said.
When such studies detect behavioral effects, it is all the more compelling that the effects are real.\" [Italics added] Sample size matters in statistics, a larger sample reduces error. Small studies especially when looking at a problem that impacts only 8% (their number, not mine) of a study population cannot reliably differentiate random from link.

There's something to be said about a game that puts style above all else. It's always a risky proposition for developers and publishers alike. A fancy user interface and nonconventional visuals can quickly turn off an audience that would have given you money for something more conventional. Sometimes, developers don't get to make more than one game before they go belly up in this day and age. That's why I always respect a game like I See Red from Whiteboard Games and Gameforge. This is a twin stick shooter with roguelite elements, graphics straight out of Sin City, and an attitude that would have fit the original Xbox era. However, after a great first impression, all the little problems with a game built for style over substance begin to bubble to the surface, making me wish I was playing a nostalgic favorite rather than this lackluster modern pretender. 781b155fdc
